Conservation manager Jane Willmott from the Severnside Project introduces one of 70 captivity-bred water voles into a nature reserve on May 20 2008 in Gloucester, England. In the UK the vole population has declined by 90 percent, but it is hoped that the new influx will grow into a stable population and perhaps spread to nearby areas and replace the ones that fell victim to last summer's floods.
