A villager dressed as a "bad folk" is shot at with arrows as he participates in the Blood Shehuo performance, at the Qiangbai Township on March 9, 2008 in Dali County of Shaanxi Province, China. The performance mainly features the revenge theme from classic stories like Outlaws of the Marsh (also called "Water Margin"), one of the four most famous classical works of Chinese literature. The performance usually shows bad folks' heads being pierced by objects such as axes, scissors, flails and blades.
