nterstate 5, the main route between Los Angeles, to the south, and Sacramento and San Francisco, stands empty as it remains closed due to snow on January 24, 2008 in Frazier Park, California. At least 800 big rig trucks and many car travelers were stranded in the storm overnight that shutdown of the Golden State Freeway over Tejon Pass, commonly referred to as The Grapevine. Many spent most of the night in their vehicles on the freeway.
