Flowers are laid in memory of Benazir Bhutto at a political gathering on January 3, 2008 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The parlimentary election in which Bhutto was to lead the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has been postponed until February 18, 2008. Bhutto was assassinated at a campaign rally on December 27, 2007 in the northern city Rawalpindi by a gunman who then blew himself up, killing at least another 20 people. Her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, has effectively been chosen to run the PPP while her son, Bilawal,19, chosen as party chairman, will continue his studies at Oxford University.
