Memorial Day — May 28th 2007
"...gather around their sacred remains and garland the passionless mounds above them with choicest flowers of springtime.... Let us in this solemn presence renew our pledges to aid and assist those whom they have left among us as sacred charges upon the Nation's gratitude,--the soldier's and sailor's widow and orphan."
--General John Logan, General Order No. 11, 5 May 1868

1. Thank you for your article, Alexia.
A difficult thing about Memorial Day is how to greet people.
It is a solomn day where common people remember their losses to wars years past as well as soldiers in the thick of current battles brewing.
May the people who suffered loss be comforted and the people defending their nations from terrorism & totalitarianism be protected.
God Bless The Soldier
